When I moved from Premier 6 to Premier Pro I was disappointed to find that the Windows Media file exporter didn't support 640x480 files. I have been providing 1.5mbps to 2.0mbps Windows Media video files to clients who don't want to use DVD's. Now I have to export an avi. file and import it to Premier 6 on a different computer so I can use Premier 6 to generate the (relatively) high res Windows Media file.

Is there a better way to do this?

So that's how you do it? I never owned Premiere 6.0 but started with Pro 1.5, and could never figure out how to make .WMV files with it. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I've settled on MPEGs for the high-resolution computer distribution medium for my stuff, but the files are huge, and the .WMV format seems to my eye to have a better quality-to-size ratio.

I don't have an answer, as you see, but I'm feeling the same pain. Let me know if you come up with anything.
